Day Out with Thomas

Photobucket
On Friday, July 11th we took the boys to see Thomas the Tank Engine at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie. The day was gorgeous and as we were driving there we saw this:

an absolutely beautiful view of Lake Washington and Mt Rainier. I took the picture as we were driving in the car going across the I90 floating bridge!
We got up there about an hour before our scheduled Thomas train departure so we took the shuttle bus (which Bryson was super excited about since we sing "The Wheels on the Bus" song all of the time) to the Railway Museum (where the Thomas activities were). The boys got Thomas tattoos (actually Bryson chose the Harold the Helicopter tattoo), played with a train set, bounced in the bounce house, pushed some levers to make train whistle sounds, and Jaden got to operate a remote-controlled Thomas. Then we got to go on the train ride, I have to admit that Todd and I were not-impressed with the train ride. We were shuttled onto the train (without even getting to see the Thomas engine!) and we took off in one direction and went for about 11 min. stopped, got a glimpse of Snoqualmie falls through a bunch of trees for a couple minutes and went back the opposite way. Afterwards we went to take pictures with Thomas and then we went and got lunch and headed home.

Jaden was impressed by how BIG Thomas was, but dissapointed that he didn't actually talk!

Just to prove that I was there!

After the boys naps we took the boat out on Lake Washington and swam and ate dinner on the boat. Then Todd and Jaden spent the night on the boat tied up to our friend Brian's boat.
