Brother Shirts

So I had been browsing blogs one night and came across this great tutorial: http://extraordinarybree.blogspot.com/2010/11/spell-it-out-for-them.html and I wanted to make some of these shirts for all of my boys!  I had wanted some Big Brother type shirts but hadn't found anything I really liked.  I gathered supplies (which was basically just some InkJet T-shirt transfer paper) and the shirts which I already owned.  I had wanted to find a plain colored onesie for Landon but then I thought a white one would be fine.  I made these the night before I went in for my induction.

Landon's Nursery

I am so proud of this nursery that I basically finished in a week and a half!  I love that it is light and bright and sweet for my baby boy.  I got the inspiration and the colors from the MiGi Alphabet bedding I chose shortly after I found out we were expecting baby boy #3!
Here is the alphabet wall and the dresser that I painted yellow.I really liked how this wall turned out, there were a few adjustments to some letters once I got them up and I imagine that I may tweak some in the future but for now it is done!
I had to put our sweet boy's name on the wall as well:)
Here is his crib, love the tent over it.  I bought it at Ikea and I think it has a circus feel to it, although I'm sure I'll have to remove it once he starts pulling up and tugging at it.
Here are the alphabet cards that I bought on Amazon.  I took mini clothespins and clipped them onto white thread that I thumb-tacked to the wall.  I wanted different baskets for the changing table and I thought about making new liners to the baskets that I used for Jaden & Bryson's nurseries but then I suddenly remembered these baskets that I had bought on clearance from Pottery Barn several years ago.  I bought them with intentions to use in my laundry room but I never did.  I had 3 of them, 1 large and 2 medium sized cloth baskets.  The bright yellow metal one in the middle was from Ikea years ago as well, I used to store toys in it in our playroom.  It is one of those things that I wished I had bought more of as I never saw them again at Ikea.
I arranged the furniture almost the same way I had it for Bryson's nursery.  I really like the crib facing out from the wall and then it leaves a little play area to the left of it.  I repainted that shelf a bright white and it is the perfect size for lots of toys.  I would like to redo the shelf at the top so that it is longer and buy some bulky corbels like I used in Bryson's big boy room. . . someday


I love these little giraffes, I got him the ever-popular Sophie and then the stuffed Giraffe is actually a sound machine.

I was thrilled when I found this Boppy cover at Babys R Us that had the perfect colors and typography!
A picture of the IKEA curtains that my wonderful mother-in-law helped with.  I loved the colors of the curtains (and the price) but there were some flowers and hearts on them.  So she cut them off and covered them with more felt circles which turned out great!  This was a project that I would have put off until after Landon arrived most likely so it was so nice that she helped.  She also sewed the seat cushion on the rocking chair.

I bought this little animal carousel at The Paper Zone, I loved the colors.  It is actually supposed to be a centerpiece party decoration so I am already planning on having it as his 1st birthday theme!

This music box was actually bought for Bryson's nursery.  I loved the picture frames and thought it was sweet.  The colors go perfectly with Landon's nursery.
All of his drawers are filled with freshly washed baby clothes in Dreft baby detergent (I love the smell).  I think this is one of the best parts of nesting, sweet baby clothes!
