Trick or Treat and Halloween Party

Our friends hosted a Halloween party once again this year. The same group of kids have trick or treated together for many years now, it is such a great tradition! Here we are heading out to the party, the boys were Mario and Luigi (they didn't like to wear their mustaches but I made them for the picture) and I decided to paint the baby bump like a pumpkin which was my way of dressing up!

Todd painted his face too, it was supposed to look like a skeleton but we couldn't quite make it look like one! So it looked like a scary face instead.

Here are some of the kids at Katie and Larry's house having some yummy dinner.

We had to gather all the children together for a picture: Kailee was a cat, Kellen was Batman, Aiden was Darth Vader, Graison a clone trooper, little Ava was a clown, Rylan was Luke, and Griffin was a pilot.

Trick or Treat time! Poor Ava was so scared of Todd's scary face, everytime she saw him she wanted to get away quick!

Mario got a little tired from all that Trick or Treating.

Back home, Todd and I got a few more pics of our face/baby bump paint:)

Pumpkin carving and Halloween Decor

We kind of forgot to carve pumpkins this year, so we broke out the carving tools the night before Halloween (aka Halloween eve). Of course, this is Todd's favorite tradition of the pumpkin gut torture.
Jaden got over the fear of pumpkin guts last year and Bryson wasn't terribly freaked out by them anymore this year either, mostly annoyed by Daddy teasing him with it. I bet Todd can't wait until baby Landon can be tortured at some point in the future! I mean look at the sheer joy on Todd's face!

I think Todd may be a little disappointed that Bryson is smiling and not crying!

Now J's turn!
He's trying to escape from his crazy Dad!
I helped Bryson carve his pumpkin this year and Todd helped Jaden carve his.

Grandma Annette came and watched too.

Silly boys!
I thought that I would take some pictures of how I decorated for fall/Halloween this year so that it will be really easy and I can just copy it next year (although I may need to move some things as I will have a busy baby then!). First the family room:

I made the leaf garland myself, and it was a big pain! I used plaster of paris on faux leaves, very messy!
I liked the little crow silhouette that I made, I am super into silhouettes now!

I also made this chalkboard pumpkin, just spray painted a fake pumpkin with chalkboard paint. Then I went and painted the stem white and wrote on it with a chalk pen. Living room:

Another chalkboard pumpkin.
My newly painted cabinet!

I like it so much better now with the added detail and that it is black!
The dining room table, I love to decorate that centerpiece for every season!
