Update from the last week or so. . .

The day after Halloween was Jaden's final soccer game of the season. He played really well and even scored 2 goals! Afterwards, coach Mike held a little awards ceremony and all of the Yellow Seahawks (the name the kids chose for the team) got a medal. This soccer season was great, we had an awesome positive coach (unlike last year), and Jaden seemed to actually understand and therefore play the game better.

After J's game we drove out to the lake house so that we could winterize it. The boys had fun helping to carry wood, throwing rocks in the water, playing inside and watching daddy work on the roof. I only remembered to take a couple pics as we were leaving though!

Here's J listening to my ipod and striking a pose by the door.

Bryson watching a movie on the way home. . . seriously, mini dvd players are the best invention for parents ever!!! I would have given away some cabbage patch kids as a child to be able to have had one for those loooong road trips that my dad loved to take us on. . . but I digress. . .

Last week Jaden and Kailee had fun working on a little craft project on a rainy afternoon:

The final product (a little hard to see but it is the planet Jupiter). I did (barely) refrain from teaching them the poem that kids in my class always sang "girls (or boys-depending on which sex was singing it) go to Jupiter to get more stupider, boys (girls) go to Mars to eat more candy bars". I figured that they will probably learn it at school soon enough. . .

Yesterday was Veteran's day and we met up with a bunch of friends at the Aquarium. We also carpooled with Kailee and her mom JoAnn. It was a rainy and dreary Seattle day and so it was packed, but the boys still had a blast seeing and playing with all of their friends!

Our friends Kellen, Griffin and their mom Katie, and Cooper, Bellamy and their mom Kim met us there as well. After looking through the aquarium for over an hour we all went upstairs to the cafe for some lunch and goodies. What a fun Veteran's day!
